Saffy Design began in 2016 with a simple idea and a love for both creativity and the planet. Based in the heart of Kallista, Melbourne, my journey started with garden sculptures—flowers crafted from whole dishes and crockery sourced from second-hand shops. These full pieces brought a unique charm, preserving their original form while giving them a new life in outdoor art.

As I explored this creative path, I began working with broken crockery to craft intricate mosaics. Each fragment held its own story, and I loved the process of transforming what was once considered waste into meaningful, vibrant designs. It took time—experimenting with materials and techniques—but every piece deepened my connection to sustainable making.

Keen to grow this passion into a business, I began selling my creations at local markets in Kallista. Sustainability is at the core of everything I do. Every item from Saffy Design carries a story—not just of recycled materials, but of care, renewal, and the beauty of giving forgotten things a second chance.
